The Antares occultation was successfully observed from Owen Sound in clear, cloudless skies. This is an image about 10 minutes before the event. I did not see the green companion when Antares reappeared but it was detected by observers further west in Canada in darker skies. | |

Mars through John L.'s 6" astro physics - power 200-210 with bino view. Large halo atmosphere. Lighter areas at 12, 1 and 2 o'clock. According to Geoff Gaherty I've captured the polar cap at approx. 6 o'clock. |
